The RVE Principles
Roman Valor Editions isn’t just about taking photographs—it’s about creating a shared space where trust, presence, and honesty guide the process. These principles exist to protect both of us, and to ensure that the experience reflects the intention behind the work.
1. Mutual Respect
Every shoot is rooted in professionalism, dignity, and care. Your comfort is non-negotiable. Nothing goes ahead without full agreement, and you’re encouraged to voice any concerns or preferences throughout.
You will always be treated with respect, and that same standard is expected in return—for the team, the space, and the process.
2. Creative Collaboration
This isn’t about performance—it’s about showing up as yourself. Whether we’re working in a studio or on location, the energy is calm, focused, and collaborative.
Minimal styling guidance is offered before shoots, but ultimately, I work with people as they are. No pressure to play a part—just bring your presence.
3. Transparency & Terms
All booking information, fees, and delivery timelines are outlined in advance (see RVE House Rules). We’ll also run through a model release form on the day of your shoot—this is standard and will be fully explained.
Deposits, cancellations, and payments are handled clearly and fairly. We aim to be flexible, but mutual respect around time and commitment is key.
4. Boundaries & Usage
Images will never be used without your knowledge. Usage for promotion (on socials, portfolio, etc.) will always be discussed beforehand, including tagging, privacy preferences, or use of an alias.
You’re welcome to use your images for personal use, but commercial or paid collaborations using RVE imagery require written permission. This ensures the work remains protected and true to its original intention.
5. Presence Over Perfection
Edits are minimal and honest. While we’ll agree on a retouching level beforehand, the RVE style leans toward rawness, softness, and realism. You’re already enough—this work isn’t about perfection, it’s about being seen.
6. Punctuality & Professionalism
Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may impact the shoot window, and excessive overruns may be charged in line with extended shoot fees.
Shoots are 100% professional at all times—no exceptions. This is a creative space, not a transactional one, and we treat it accordingly.
7. This Is A Safe Space
Whether you’ve done this a hundred times or never stood in front of a camera before, this is a space you can trust. Everyone has a right to be seen with care, and no one should leave feeling less than who they are.
